Median Bearded Iris are a result of crossing Tall Bearded Iris with Dwarf Bearded Iris.

They range in height from 15" to 27" and flower earlier. In Tasmania they tend to flower throughout October.

They require the same growing conditions as Tall Irises, but they take up less space.

The majority of Median Bearded Iris are infertile and can not be used to create new breeds.
